This is a full many months after we planned. We will need to hold off any breeding plans until their next cycle at least. If you are looking for a Chinook puppy right now, you might want to check with breeders listed in the Chinook Owners Association (COA) and the Chinook Club of America (CCA).Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03701331166158638369noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599386590150421621.post-71649775027200937862010-07-31T11:42:00.000-07:002010-07-31T11:43:42.600-07:00Aspen's Hips are GOOD!We received notice that the OFA has rated 'PR' DownDog's Aspen's hips as OFA GOOD! We will post her hip score on our website when we receive it from the OFA.Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03701331166158638369noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599386590150421621.post-18493115793136886752010-05-31T08:17:00.000-07:002010-05-31T08:19:19.861-07:00Stud selected for our 2010 breedingWe have tentatively selected a stud for our upcoming fall 2010 breeding of Sandhill's Kaya. These will be beautiful puppies!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03701331166158638369noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599386590150421621.post-365272449273760052010-01-21T21:57:00.000-08:002010-01-21T22:00:04.528-08:00Quick breeding updateI just wanted to post a quick breeding update. We are definitely planning for a fall 2010 litter for Sandhill's Kaya. We have not yet chosen a stud but are working with three breeding mentors to pick the best match for our girl. We will post stud information and pictures as soon as we have one! <br /><br />Additionally, we just recently completely redid our website and if you are interested in one of Kaya's puppies, you should be able to find a link to our application on the breeding and link pages of our site. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about this breeding, puppies, or Chinooks in general. Thanks!!Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03701331166158638369noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599386590150421621.post-63221149837572081982009-11-23T07:38:00.000-08:002009-11-23T07:40:51.588-08:00Sandhill's Kaya's hip results are in!<span style="font-family: arial;">We received Kaya's hip results this past week from OFA and are EXTREMELY happy to announce that she received an EXCELLENT! Way to go! We're so proud to be a part of this wonderful breed, and we're so happy that others are recognizing the value of Chinooks as well.Jenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03701331166158638369noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-599386590150421621.post-38677639551035862492009-03-27T12:38:00.000-07:002009-03-27T13:05:11.577-07:00Snow!<div align="left"><span style="font-family:arial;">Yesterday we got over 17 inches of snow in one day. This was Aspen's first real experience with snow. All of the other snow days that we've had here in Colorado this year have resulted in a lot less snow on the ground. Well, the dogs loved it!! They think snow is the greatest thing on Earth besides bones and playing with other dogs. It was fun watching them run around and bound through the snow, biting at it and sticking their heads into it. We took some pictures of Kaya and Aspen frolicking in the snow.</span> </div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1vSpMBGfXBk0lPX7KHi0OqEKzdBVYqRrdJpflSapyKPNoA2-HQSM8hsSReNyw3a9P8FjNWQZkk71XXDjlVv9kDFy325JNlS4SsPukn1MNfvUh5QVVlEyZ7lq4oNwTjhfOgb28vFtbEhsH/s1600-h/P1020514.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317957494874620386" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1vSpMBGfXBk0lPX7KHi0OqEKzdBVYqRrdJpflSapyKPNoA2-HQSM8hsSReNyw3a9P8FjNWQZkk71XXDjlVv9kDFy325JNlS4SsPukn1MNfvUh5QVVlEyZ7lq4oNwTjhfOgb28vFtbEhsH/s320/P1020514.JPG" border="0" /></a> <span style="font-family:arial;">Kaya leaping through the snow.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family:Arial;"></span> </div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317957813558785810" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh77eRlFuJAqJ2IyshjQm6vMsokKfGTuq7Y09T-7j8F6-eO-rAnFxREH6sa4qMxQIouxOmThqMLfpLwjyhh9cx9L4cXFlYnO1qyUIukQew9GNjC04ZdGax49qIM6X7URtTt6BoDjZs1NnRh/s320/P1020518.JPG" border="0" /></div><p align="center"><span style="font-family:arial;">Kaya posing in the snow.</span><br /></p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317958141440411602" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0rYyHXN7NJ_CsJChxUnfgcQ0rhy-krFFOplqyRp0flyPO6kQ0rzz_95VGTmVzAiquIfNJOjFqVQ27XbTVEsP2K0BA5zmuVkdI5JN01RSxs527EbnkK3Ft2wAwTuAsa_sBmHgq2cuUP083/s320/P1020530.JPG" border="0" /><span style="font-family:arial;">Kaya sticking her nose into the snow to bite it.<br /></span><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317958450037113538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMLJDoIXJ_6YXOjA17S1DAYl1h0t6yThyphenhyphen_17SMTnH0Bkw6Ur5QwzSI5slnKqn_HORorp3yflFVYIBvWURQLYCKibShMkfC0Q9L2h3C2O5kciGwv3nk4GyIZAZkZVCGFrH8f9HWlrq8D3pD/s320/P1020533.JPG" border="0" /> <span style="font-family:arial;">Both girls posing for a picture break (Aspen left, Kaya right).</span> </p><p align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317958863666183874" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqBE2rmcJNk7LI1qKiTNaInp2hyZEJo6hjyL7juV2hFew_ED2txihJEh4Ig6ikLJao6U5ox7W35pIJV-_b4rFtL2Ly-a74UWWU7wkkxwlc53G7DFEQjFnUiT4-actdHKw6bWZVFiYjEvG8/s320/P1020551.JPG" border="0" /></p><p align="center"><span style="font-family:arial;">Playing chase in the snow is fun!</span><br /><br /></p><div align="center"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317959341404852322" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhg-HeI46CVs6sg3TSuvtd0lnUhvXO7x5BXJOY0iBCy69vu1ceXKUcLtxVILeIb9e6umXtlZgiAQhM3FQSy5-YhPW8nsDBQ6eHOg1PaVCdNeHQ1XHoeVLukF9xUGl9XGbzWztH_lCgKju7u/s320/P1020555.JPG" border="0" /></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family:arial;">More playing.</span></div><div align="center"><span style="font-family:Arial;"></span></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317959653052289794" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9hprIieIpEIxl_xzCSqQAQZz-BzdYwdObbNU1sDWMDf9XarTIHmioUbpgNPjHz_9ShtATv3OCwan7xT2Cefql1D4TOTg0Pak-GeE4LrPCCu5h0NukYxioTpv4syw1RdqZeBftt6Xr0Pia/s320/P1020562.JPG" border="0" /> <p align="center"><span style="font-family:arial;">Aspen leaping through the snow.</span><br /><br /></p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317959803401168562" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5Tck4k7GmqDorRrJKQXzSrSXIuoVI8a9Ejo4Sfq9CSTMbfbLwoMUcylGp5eve1fGw-bGdIOIIhplTDh__f4uzjbXfMBSeENLhycrU2M2hR4lsPTcMCSPgOz3xoevTcN-cXZOkZQ7wkv4q/s320/P1020568.JPG" border="0" /> <p align="center"><span style="font-family:arial;">Kaya looking up in play.
