Sandhill's Kaya's hip results are in!

We received Kaya's hip results this past week from OFA and are EXTREMELY happy to announce that she received an EXCELLENT! Her CERF was normal as well. Now that we have these results, we are going to start planning to hopefully breed her in winter 2010. Happy 2nd birthday to Sandhill's Kaya!

Kaya turned 2 on September 12th! We will be getting her hips and eyes checked very soon. She just went into heat so it will be at least a month before we can get her hips tested but as soon as we have her hip information, we'll be sure to post it under the breeding link on our website. Stay tuned!

Way to go Chinooks!!

On Monday, June 8th, New Hampshire Governor John Lynch signed a bill making the Chinook the state dog of New Hampshire! Way to go! We're so proud to be a part of this wonderful breed, and we're so happy that others are recognizing the value of Chinooks as well.

Snow!

Yesterday we got over 17 inches of snow in one day. This was Aspen's first real experience with snow. All of the other snow days that we've had here in Colorado this year have resulted in a lot less snow on the ground. Well, the dogs loved it!! They think snow is the greatest thing on Earth besides bones and playing with other dogs. It was fun watching them run around and bound through the snow, biting at it and sticking their heads into it. We took some pictures of Kaya and Aspen frolicking in the snow.
